Save the date October 4 & 5, 2024. Come on out to 29 Palms and join the excitement of the Annual Night Sky Festival Fundraising event by volunteering for these 2 non-profit organizations during their major fundraising event of the year. 

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities during the festival that begin on Friday, October 4 morning with set up and wrap up on Saturday, October 5 at the end of the Night Star Party. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2024

• Set up chairs,, tables, photo booth and other equipment.
• Assist with parking, equipment & registering for the Telescope Clinic.

​SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2024 (morning)

• Set up tables, chairs and shade canopy for morning activities at Sky's The Limit.
• Assist with Youth Crafts and other morning activities.
• Assist artist Diana Shay Diehl with Solar Printing Workshop.
• Assist with the Solar Scope.
• Collect & sell tickets for Panning for Gold.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2024 (afternoon)

• Assistant for 3 Astronomy Lectures at Patriotic Hall: Ensure chairs are back in proper rows after photography workshop closes. Greet guests and help with seating. Put away chairs after lectures end.
• Event Registration at Luckie Park Activity Center. There are multiple shifts from noon until registration closes at 8:30 pm. Greet guests and give them their ticket packets. All tickets are pre-sold.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2024 (evening/night)

• Parking assistant at at Luckie Park Activity Center.
• Shuttle bus assistant. Greet participants as they load and unload from the shuttle bus. One at Luckie Park Activity Center and one at Sky's The Limit Observatory.
• Greet and assist special needs guests arriving by accessible van.
• Assist with stage sound and lighting equipment.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2024 (morning)

• Trash clean-up at Sky's The Limit campus.
• Clean up at Luckie Park Activity Center. Tear down tables/chairs, trash, fold up photo booth.
